Yes, that's literally why I chose them as my second instrument. But give me a break, I was a senior in high school. My reasoning wasn't always logical, just based on more sensual observations (a lifelong problem). As it turned out, I improved faster on drums than guitar, so I had visions of scantily clad babes drooling all over me! As you can imagine, reality can be very disappointing.

Drumming relies heavily on rhythm and timing. A strong grasp of music theory is not required to

become a highly competent and skilled drummer. While the drums may be one of the most fun

and exciting instruments to learn, it can be difficult to find a suitable time and place to practice

due to loudness.
